Under general direction, this position performs landscaping, basic construction, maintenance, and basic repair tasks related to parks development and maintenance; clean and maintain parks, buildings, cemeteries, rights-of-ways, and building grounds.
This position also performs related duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
Assists in maintenance of parks, open spaces, right-of-ways, and building grounds.
Maintains and repairs equipment used by department.
Performs basic maintenance and repair tasks associated with grounds and buildings including mowing, trimming, cutting, planting, litter pick up, painting, moping, sweeping, and minor carpentry or plumbing repairs.

Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of basic maintenance practices of landscaped areas.
Knowledge basic of buildings and grounds maintenance.
Ability to edge, sweep, weed, clean, rake, paint, and make minor repairs to parks and facilities.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with all levels of City management, staff, and the public.
Ability to perform routine grounds and building maintenance, gardening, and clean-up.
Ability to perform unskilled manual work.
